This is the month of the AIDS Memorial Day.
Whilst we all know that gay men are not the carriers / spreaders of the
illness, contrary to popular misconception, we do believe that the education
of its prevention is closely linked to the acceptance of one's ( gay )
sexuality and coming out, by extension. We are thus making " Coming out loud
and proud " our subject of the month (or, quiet and proud, if you are
inclined to be more introverted). Proud being the operative word.
8/5/2005 Courage and Conviction - Eric's journey with Jason revisited
Can any subject be more
appropriate to launch our " coming out " season than Eric's brave appearance
on TV as a fully paid up gay man? History will judge this to be a watershed
event for the development of Malaysian gay landscape. Miss it, and you will
miss history, and possibly a part of you in it, in due course.
15/5/2005 Good service, Bad service, Self service - The post modern ways to
Self Entertainment
If
you think that this title is faintly suggestive, it is. It suggests that
condom is not the only way to self-preservation. The modern gay men, ever
more self reliant, ever more weary of emotional upheaval, are increasing
turning solo behind closed doors. Come for some surprise and saucy
discovery.
22/5/2005 Cuming but not coming out?
The
drawback and hazard of a closeted gay life This is designed as a follow-up
to Eric's coming out. Whilst the obvious struggle of coming out often holds
gay men back, the pitfalls of a secret gay life can be even darker, and
ultimately more damaging. Come and find out why?
29/5/2005 Wisdom & Experience vs Youth & Beauty - Is the path beyond
middle-age for gay men all the way down hill?
Why
is wisdom and experience always ending up retreating against the assault of
youth and beauty? Don't we all grow old one day? What is to be said about
being old and wise? This is not a subject just for the mature gay men; the
young ones too could do well in getting themselves prepared.
