MSM POZ Programme

What We Do

MSM Poz is a safe and private place where Positive MSM can access information and services that can help improve their health and wellbeing. We also welcome the carers, partners, and/or family and friends of Positive MSM. MSM Poz is a programme of PT Foundation, Malaysian largest community based organization caring for the communities most affected by HIV.

Why We Do It

For most Positive MSM, health outcomes have improved dramatically over the last few years. However many still face significant challenges and have specific information and support needs. Our team of caring and professional people works hard to help our clients meet their needs in a friendly and understanding environment.

How We Do It

Our range of free services includes:

Voluntay Counselling and Testing
Peer Support programmes
Buddy system
Internet group and information
Information workshop and forums
Complementary therapies
Nutrition talks
Training opportunities

And because we work closely with other HIV service providers, we can make referrals to help our clients get access to other relevant programmes and services.

Support Group:

MSM Poz - our support group is held every second week of the month
Topics discussed range from legal aid to counseling, nutrition to doctor’s advise, etc.
Outing to various destinations such as the adventure park Skytrack were organized n 2010. There are some more planned for our members in 2011.
Training session for newly diagnosed members to familiarise them with their status and support them by engaging with other positive MSM

Volunteering

Through our volunteering programme at PT Foundation, we help our clients return to work and/or study by providing a range of training and skills development opportunities.

What's On

Our MSM Poz Yahoo group offers information on programmes, activities and events. The group also posts forums and news of latest information that offers support to newly diagnosed Positive MSM.

About PT Foundation

PT Foundation was founded in 1987 and we provide information, support and advocacy for people living with HIV or at risk of acquiring HIV, including sex workers and people who use drugs. We’re a community-based non-government organization. This means the work we do is done in our community, for our community and by members of our community. Currently we have 5 programmes:
