PT bags top
prize at NGO Awards

The event was held to recognise non-governmental organisations for their
achievements.
PT, formerly known as Pink Triangle, works to increase awareness and
prevention against HIV/AIDS. The National Kidney Foundation came in second
in the awards and The Befrienders Kuala Lumpur and Rumah Amal Cheshire
Selangor shared the third place.
Ng said NGOs would be benchmarked to ensure that they perform well and
continue to make an impact.
There are about 40,000 registered organisations in the country.
The awards were organised by The International Resource (Asia) in
association with Nanyang Siang Pau, China Press, Life
Publishers and Star Foundation.
